I recently went through my second laparoscopic surgery to remove stage IV endometriosis, and as a result, I now have some pretty noticeable (albeit small) scars on my abdomen. I decided I didn’t want a constant reminder on my tummy of all the pain I’ve had to endure over the last 6+ years. I scoured the internet and asked my friends on social media what worked best for them and now I want to share that knowledge with everyone else. Whether your scars are from burns, accidents or surgery, here are some non-toxic options that can help fade them or even make them completely disappear!Read More
To understand how special Vintner's Daughter Botanical Serum is, you first need to know the story of its founder April Gargiulo. While April is in fact a winemaker's daughter, her company's name, Vintner's Daughter, is actually named after her own daughter, with whom she was pregnant when she started to become conscious of the products and ingredients she was putting onto her body…Read More
Life gets busy, let’s face it; sometimes, between work, family, friends, the gym and trying to keep your head above water, it can be really easy to neglect your skin. Ever since I started out on this nontoxic journey in November, I've used every medium at my disposal to try to spread the word. So, when my wonderful friend, Melissa Wood approached me a few weeks ago about doing a beauty video, I jumped at the opportunity. Not enough people know about the lack of regulation in the cosmetics industry and so many of us have faith that these companies will do the right thing and make our safety the priority. Sadly, that's not the case. I believe it is every consumer's right to know exactly what is in the products they buy, but until we reach that point, we need to be our own advocates and become more conscious consumers.
The app we are using in this video is called Think Dirty; it's an excellent resource, although not totally complete. EWG's Skin Deep website is also great if you want to know more about specific ingredients. We hope you find this video useful, and if there are any questions you want to ask, feel free to leave them in the comments section! Xx

It wasn't until I started switching over to non-toxic makeup, that I considered looking into skincare as well; especially considering that I am now in my 30s, and beginning to notice the first signs of aging...
